For our English-speaking friends - From Munich to İstanbul

The days before we left, had been hectic and stressfull. On 5th of August we finally hit the road. The first night we stayed at our friends place in Southtyrol, Family Schnarf. The next day we rode to Venice from where we took the ferry to Greece.

We spent about a week in Meteora and on the Chalkidiki Peninsula (Sithonia) riding the bikes, sleeping, sun bathing, swimming and enjoying delicious greek food. It's pretty warm, 30 to 35 degrees Celcius during the day. One even starts sweating by only turning the page of one's book.

After Greece we visited the Gallipoli Peninsula (Turkey). During World War I severe battles took place in this beautiful landscape. Here the British Commonwealth and the ANZAC-Troups fought the Turkish to conquer this strategical important place.

Furthermore we visited the antique places of Troy and Pergammon. We then went to Istanbul. This lively ottoman metropol with its famous Hagia Sophia, Bazaar, Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace ... fascinated the three of us very much. We even stayed longer as planned. Tomorrow we'll leave to go further south again and recouver from city-sightseeing.

Euere Jacobsbande
